Staring Americans in the face are the facts that the U.S. has the highest rates of teen pregnancy, birth and abortion in the industrialized world.
In May of this year, Gallup conducted its annual survey of values and beliefs in the U.S. — the change between what Americans thought was moral in 2001 and 2014. Some startling changes included: divorce, 59 percent (2001), 69 percent (2014); premarital sex, 59 percent (2001), 66 percent (2014); unwed parents, 45 percent (2001), 58 percent (2014); homosexuality, 40 percent (2001), 58 percent (2014).
Other facts included that nearly one million teen girls get pregnant each year in the U.S. and almost four out of 10 U.S. women get pregnant at least once before age 20.
The majority of Americans view divorce, sex outside of marriage, having children outside of marriage and homosexual relations as morally acceptable.
That is terrifying.
In the 1950s, divorce, sex outside of marriage, having children out of wedlock, gay and lesbian sexual relations and pornography were considered deviant.
The prophet Isaiah had words for this time: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.”
Has America become Gomorrica?
