RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Georgette G. Gill of Canton and formerly of West Peru for many years, was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, in Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as celebrant.

The altar assistant was Bernard Poirier and the organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Hosea,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Amazing Grace” and “Give Me Jesus.” Readings from the Old and New Testaments were proclaimed by David Blouin. Pallbearers were all family members, Peter, Harold, Lincoln, Timothy, Jonathan and Shawn Gill.

Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Greg Dube. Interment was at Demerritt Cemetery in West Peru. Arrangements were under the care of Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., P.O. Box 537, Rumford, ME 04276.
