SOUTH PARIS — A series of free, quick start workshops is being offered from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Community Concepts’ conference room, 17 Market Square.
These are for anyone who is thinking of starting a new business or has recently started a new business. The workshops are designed to provide all of the essential information and material for starting a business, from forms for registering a business name, forms for applying for an EIN number, to creating a business plan, cash flow forecasting, marketing and financial information.
The workshop series schedule is as follows:
Sept. 17: Overview of the workshops and materials.
Sept. 24: Marketing information, branding and the need for marketing materials.
Oct. 1: Business planning and cash flow management.
Oct. 8: Information on legal aspects, such as business entities
Oct. 15: Financial information, record keeping and tax obligations
Oct. 22: A resource panel for technical assistance, financing and more
Instructors include Dana Hanley of Hanley & Associates, Lance Bean with Hoisington & Bean PA, and members of the Oxford Hills SCORE office, Steve Veazey, John Huffman and Charlie Peabody.
