“Kickin’Butt: Come help take a load off Annie” is a benefit planned for from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at Tuckers Music Pub, 290 Main Street. The gala features seven hours of live entertainment for the support of friend and community stakeholder, Anne Mallory, and to raise awareness for colon cancer.
Among the performers slated for the stage are award winners, regionally and nationally touring groups, recording artists, budding amateurs and more.
While the list grows every day as the word spreads through Maine’s performing community, the current lineup includes: Davy Sturtevant, Donnie Katlin, Jewel Clark, Milltown Road Show, Denny Breau, Trailer Trash, Black Cat Road, Arlo West, Jus Tus Two, Brad Hooper, Bunch of Old Hippies, Rijah Newell , The flying Otters, John Hasnip, Carlos Olmeda, Lindsey Montana, Heather Pierson and many more.
In addition to music, there will be a 50/50 raffle and snacks. A film of the event will be produced and a DVD will be available by order. Donations for Anne Mallory can be made and sent to: MPAS, PO Box 80, Paris, ME 04271.
