The following youngsters collected items at their birthday parties or other events and donated them to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston.

- Makenzie Finnegan, a student at the Pelletier Karate Academy and a then-second-grader at Fairview School in Auburn, donated to GAHS on May 3.

- On May 17, Benjamin Lary donated after his third birthday. With him is his mom, Katherin Lary.

- On May 18, Shyann Nichols, a kindergarten student at the Poland Community School, celebrated her sixth birthday by donating to GAHS. Shyann is in the center, holding Ying the cat, with her sisters, Katie Holbrook, left, and Madyson Nichols.

- On June 23, Addison Dostie of Auburn donated the items she gathered for her 11th birthday. Dostie is a student at Fairview Elementary School.
