ROXBURY — The Roxbury Pond Watershed Survey Committee will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Town Hall to continue discussing the results of the May survey.
The committee has been studying the watershed to identify what sources are contributing to the lake’s contamination, Jim Wendt, president of the Silver Lake Camp Owners Association, said.
Roxbury Pond is also known as Silver Lake and Ellis Pond.
The committee has been investigating since October 2013, when lake monitors Ross and Christine Swain of Andover observed and helped document an intense algae bloom that lasted for several days.
Among the topics the committee will discuss Thursday are:
* An outline of the watershed survey results.
* Data analysis.
* Discussion on the desired end product for the survey report, summary and watershed plan.
* Discussion on communicating with landowners in the watershed.
* Discussion on funding options.
