Pomona Grange to meet with Danville
AUBURN — On Wednesday, Aug. 20, members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange No. 1 will gather at Danville Junction Grange on Grange Street in Danville for evening of food, fun and fellowship.
Members will gather at 6 p.m. for a potluck supper followed by evening of relaxing bingo. Members should bring a food dish to share and a prize for bingo.

Bottle drive benefits popcorn truck
AUBURN — United New Auburn and New Auburn Social Club will have a bottle drive and yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in Rolly’s Diner parking lot.
A pig roast will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Cost is $7 per person.
All money will go to repair the Marshall Popcorn Truck.

Woodlands Mushroom Walk
BUCKFIELD — Woodlands Mushroom Walk August 23rd, 9-11am
Join the Western Foothills Land Trust for a woodlands mushroom walk from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, on the Packard Trail, Virgil Parris Forest. The trail is a two-mile loop.
Meet at the trail head which is 1.2 miles south of Route 117 on the Sodom Road. Wear comfortable shoes and layers, and bring water.
The four-foot wide machined trail meanders gently through mixed deciduous woodlands along the western slope and shore of South Pond.

Chicken barbecue at Gray church
GRAY — The Gray Congregational church will hold its 23rd annual chicken barbecue at 5 and 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Parish House, Brown Street.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
The menu consists of half a chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, homemade biscuits, cakes, pies, punch and coffee.
The building is handicapped accessible.

Breakfast at Morning Star Lodge
LITCHFIELD — A public breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Morning Star Lodge, Hallowell Road, across from the fire station.
The cost is $6 per person or $20 cap per family.
Menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, toast, coffee, juice, etc.
