DIXFIELD — Residents will vote Tuesday on the two municipal budget items that were shot down at the June 10 town meeting.
Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Dixfield American Legion.
Voters rejected the $297,667 Executive Department budget by a 206-217 vote , and the $15,515 Health, Animal and Code Enforcement budget by a 192-210 vote.
Selectmen voted to cut $4,500 from the Executive Department budget, making it $293,167, which is $22,825 less than the previous fiscal year.
They also voted to cut $1,000 from the Code Enforcement budget, making it $14,515, which is $1,750 less than the previous fiscal year.
