First responders take part in a Department Homeland Security training exercise Friday morning on the University of Maine at Farmington campus. The exercise included a simulated emergency scenario with volunteers posing as injured individuals and a potential secondary incident nearby. The exercise was planned by the UMF Crisis Management Team, the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency, Maine Emergency Management Agency and local emergency responders. Campus police, local police, sheriff and fire departments, EMS groups, Franklin Memorial Hospital and the UMF Crisis Management Team participated.
