LEWISTON — The Maine People’s Alliance will host a community supper and forum with candidates running for the Maine Legislature on Thursday at the Lewiston Public Library.

The light supper is free and open to the public. It begins at 5 p.m. Aug. 7. The forum will start at 6 p.m. An informal reception will be held following a question and answer session.

So far, 12 Democratic candidates and one Republican candidate have confirmed they intend to participate in the event. 

Candidates include those seeking election to the Maine State Senate and the Maine House of Representatives in the cities of Lewiston, Auburn and Lisbon.
