Blood drive planned in Vienna
VIENNA — Mill Stream Grange will sponsor a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Vienna Community Center, aka the Fire Dept., on Kimball Pond Road.
Sign up online at redcrossblood.org; call 1-800-RED CROSS or locally, call Libby at 293-2362. Because of limited space, it is strongly suggested that you make an appointment before coming.
Everyone who donates will receive a $2.50 coupon for Turkey Hill Ice Cream.
All blood types are needed but especially O neg, B neg and A neg. Be sure to drink plenty of water before coming and try to eat foods rich in iron. One form of identification will be asked for.
While you’re in “downtown” Vienna waiting to donate, check out the Vienna Historical Society’s third annual Antique Fair and Flea Market and the Villages Farmers Market; both will be set up between the Historical Society and the Grange on Route 41 within walking distance of the Fire Dept.
