EAST WILTON — East Wilton Union Church has announced the schedule for their 2014 August “Concerts on the Lawn” series. The free concerts will be held at 6 p.m. on Sundays in August on the East Wilton Union Church lawn, at 1306 Main Street. All are welcome to attend. There will be an opportunity for a free-will offering. In case of inclement weather the concerts will be held inside. A time of food and fellowship will follow each concert. HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 and 16. The Clothing Center is located directly across from the church.
LOCKE MILLS — Annual Blueberry Festival FROM 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Locke Mills Union Church. Pancakes, sundaes, pies, blueberries, more.
OTISFIELD — On Saturday, Aug. 9, the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church will hold its first lobster dinner. Advance ticket sales are $20 per person; a limit of 76 tickets will be sold. Seatings are at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The menu will be one-and-a-half-pound lobster, drawn butter, corn on the cob, coleslaw, homemade rolls, blueberry cake and beverages. Proceeds will benefit the church, 231 Rayville Road, off Route 121. To purchase tickets, call 207-743-7417.
WILTON — The Wilton United Methodist Church will hold its annual yard sale during the Blueberry Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1.
