RUMFORD — The next planning meeting for the upcoming Rumford Pumpkin Fest is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, according to a press release by Kris Howes, the president of Gaskyl Productions, the organizers of this year’s festival.

Howes said that at the upcoming meeting, residents will be “discussing event details, street layout, kids’ areas and sponsorships for the seating areas and events.”

“Please brainstorm and bring your ideas for events that we can host,” Howes added. “We’re looking to do at least 10 more events, along with things we can do for cheap or free for the kids’ area.”

The third annual Rumford Pumpkin Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, and is being run by Envision Rumford! and Gaskyl Production.

During an interview in June, Howes said that he is looking to provide new things for the upcoming Pumpkin Fest, including a “new centralized street layout,” a seating area for residents, where they can mingle and socialize and a stage for bands and entertainment.
