PERKINS TOWNSHIP — An Augusta man was injured Tuesday night when his motorcycle failed to negotiate a corner on Route 156, Franklin County sheriff’s Lt. David Rackliffe said Wednesday.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:55 p.m.

Mark Green, 43, who was driving a 1998 Suzuki, was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. He was then transferred to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, a FMH spokeswoman said.

He was not wearing a helmet, Rackliffe said.
