Spaghetti supper at Legion

AUBURN — William Rogers Post 153 will hold a spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23.

Menu will include spaghetti, salad bar, Italian bread and assorted desserts. Cost is $4 for 12 and under, $7 for 13 and older.

Cram the Van for GAHS

AUBURN — On Saturday, July 26, Greater Androscoggin Humane Society volunteers will be at the Auburn Petco from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. collecting much-needed donations of pet food and supplies. Cash donations will also be accepted.

The shelter relies heavily on the donations by the community of food and supplies for the animals that it cares for. Over 100 pounds of dog food and 70 pounds of cat food are needed daily to feed the nearly 4,200 animals who pass through the shelter’s doors.

Public breakfast at Morning Star

LITCHFIELD — A public breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Morning Star Masonic Lodge, Hallowell Road (across from the fire station).

Cost is $6 per person or $20 cap per family. Menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, toast, juice, coffee, etc.

Program on land trust nature sites

TOPSHAM — A free CREA Community Nature Program will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Topsham Public Library, 25 Foreside Road.

David White will present “Land Trust Nature Sites: A Photographic Tour,” with nature photography from beautiful places to visit in the community.

Bean, spaghetti supper in Pownal

POWNAL — The North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road, will hold a public baked bean and spaghetti supper from 4:30 to  6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.

On the menu are three kinds of beans, spaghetti with meat sauce, potato salad, coleslaw, biscuits and brown bread, pickled beets and assorted homemade pies. Tickets are adults $7, children 4-12 years $3, and 3 years and under free.

SAD 52 offers new colorguard course

TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education will present a brand new course this summer. Beginner Colorguard runs Aug. 4-7.

Discover the art of basic flag spinning along with dance. Learn a fun routine set to music and no experience is necessary. This is open to students entering third to eighth grade.

Wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. Flag equipment will be provided.
