Ireland’s “Best Band of the Year” in Maine for the first time.

CARTHAGE —

The band is comprised of two brothers, Shane and Fiachra Hayes on accordion and fiddle/banjo, accompanied by Aodán Coyne on guitar and vocals. This young trio from Country Clare blend Irish traditional melodies with an innovative rhythmic and melodic garnish.

The trio combines modern traditional style, an energetic approach to music and combine it with an acoustic musical interplay, three-part harmony and an obvious love for live performance that compliments the traditional essence of both tune and songs in a fresh and entertaining way.

Performances will be at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center in South Carthage, on Wednesday, July 30; at Acoustic Artisans in Portland, on Monday, July 31; at Phillips Area Community Center in Phillips, on Saturday, Aug. 2; and at North New Portland Community Church on Sunday, Aug. 3.
