The Androscoggin Habitat for Humanity has recently opened a reuse store located at 1967 Lisbon Road in Lewiston. The store accepts working appliances, cabinets, furniture, building materials, home decor, lighting and more. All donations are tax deductible and, if needed, Habitat will provide free, easy pick up of items. The store’s mission is to provide the public with new and gently used building materials, supplies, hardware and home furnishings at a fraction of the retail cost. This provides reuse opportunities of good products, keeps surplus out of landfills and helps to conserve natural resources. The sale of all donated items in turn supports the overall mission to provide new homes to families in need in Androscoggin and parts of Oxford counties. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. For more information, contact Kim at 786-2598 or email Androscogginhfh@roadrunner.com.
