Rob Henderson and Gene Smith, both of Oxford, work Saturday on the Late Model car driven by Dale Verrill at Oxford Plains Speedway during Oxford 250 weekend. “If we win tonight, we might change the tires and race tomorrow,” Henderson said. The 250 takes place Sunday.
“My husband normally does the tires, but he’s working on (Scott Mulken’s) car right now, so I’m doing the tires,” said Kerry Keiper of Mooresville, N.C., at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday. Keiper was in town with four drivers who hope to get into the Oxford 250 race Sunday.
