WORCESTER, Mass. — Victor J. Dumais of Lewiston graduated on May 17 from Assumption College, receiving an M.A. in counseling psychology with a concentration in cognitive behavioral therapy.
His experiential specialization has been in substance abuse treatment, and he has worked as a counselor for the past year at a methadone treatment center for opiate addiction.
Dumais is the son of Dr. Martha Cardiolli and Joseph P. and Kimberly Dumais.

PORTLAND — At the recent University of Southern Maine Student Involvement Recognition Gala, Tonya Bailey-Curry of Lewiston received the Outstanding Student Employee Award for her work in the Lewiston Auburn College Druker Office of Community Engagement.
She accomplished much during her first few months, creating resource lists of community partners; an informational brochure; and connecting with students and faculty to facilitate engagement projects.
Bailey-Curry took on leadership roles with the program and was instrumental in the planning and execution of the “Bringing it Home” event with Edward Little High School students.
