PARIS — Undefeated Bessey Motors (15-0) used six hits and strong defense to beat Pastime 5-1 and carry off the regular-season championship Thursday evening.
Bessey’s Ryan Godin, who went four innings, got the win on the mound. Ty Martin and Dalton Rice each had two singles. Brady Lafrance doubled for Bessy. For Pastime (12-5), Ryan Riordan smacked a double.
Bessey held a 3-1 lead after four innings before adding another two runs in the fifth inning.
Locke Mills 4, Windham 3
WINDHAM — Jacob Bennett smacked an RBI single to bring home Kaine Hutchins with the winning run in the top of the eighth inning, giving Locke Mills a 4-3 victory over Windham in an American Legion baseball game Thursday.
Windham took a 3-1 lead after four innings, but Locke Mills came up with two runs in the fifth inning to tie the game.
Hutchins and Eric Lowell each had two hits and Gavin Arsenault got the win on the mound for Locke Mills. Timmy Greenlaw had a double and two singles for Locke Mills.
Andy Valley 2, Smith Tobey 0
TURNER — Mitchel Davis went all seven innings for Andy Valley in their 2-0 victory in Legion baseball action Thursday night. He had 12 strikeouts and allowed only one hit.
Tyler Hutchinson sparked Andy Valley’s offense with a triple and a double. Jonah Williams also had a double in the victory.
Kyle Holbrook went the distance for Smith Tobey, allowing six hits in the loss.
