MINOT — The Minot Historical Society met on June 10 at the West Minot Grange Hall.
The Junior History Club members gave reports of their past year’s activities.
A younger version of the life of William Ladd was written and published.
This was followed by a book signing at the Town Office by the authors.
Another notable meeting was on Joshua Chamberlain by historian Charles Plummer followed up by a tour of the Joshua Chamberlain Museum in Brunswick.
A fun time was hearth cooking at the home of the leader, Donna Berry.
There will be a change in the scheduled program for July 8. We welcome members of the Livermore Historical Society Muriel Bowerman, Betty Nichols and Ruth Gammon.
They will give a history of their society and the two homes that they have had. The first one was lost by fire.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the Town Office. Refreshments will follow. All are welcome.
