Stephens High Class of 1952

ROXBURY — The class of 1952 from Stephens High of Rumford will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, at the home of Angie and Reggie Arsenault at Roxbury Pond for their monthly luncheon.

It will be potluck with folks bringing their favorite dish. All class members and guests are welcome.

Juggler Steve Corning at library

MEXICO — As part of the Mexico Public Library’s “Terrific Tuesdays” summer programs for kids, the library will host juggler Steve Corning of South Paris at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8.

Steve will present an exciting juggling show for kids, and during the second part of the program he will lead a how-to juggling workshop. This fun program is for kids ages 2-14 and will be held at the Calvin Lyons Hall, in the basement of the Mexico Town Hall building.

Although the program is free, there will be a donation box available for anyone who would like to contribute to the program.

Seniors group plans ice cream social

RUMFORD — Rumford Senior Citizens of Peru will hold an ice cream social at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Old Peru School.

Entertainment will be by Jay and Tammy Roy.

Public supper at ‘Green Church’

MEXICO — A public supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (the “Green Church”), 163 Main St.

The menu will include barbecue chicken, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw and homemade pies. The price for adults is $8 and $3 for children under 12. Takeout meals will be available after 5:30; call 364-8603.

Mark Butler concert at church

RUMFORD — A concert by Mark Butler from Hermon will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Rumford Baptist Church basement, 112 Washington St.

Butler’s music will touch the heart and heal the soul.

Drinks and refreshments will be provided.

A love offering will be taken.

Butler also will speak at the service at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 13.

PERU — “Tell it on the Mountain!” at Vacation Bible School at Peru Baptist Church, Main Street, from 9 a.m. to noon July 14-18. The program is for ages 4-12.
