Summer concerts at Mexico park
MEXICO — Summer concerts at the Mexico Recreation Park will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evenings through Sept. 1.
Bring a picnic supper, bug spray, blanket, folding chair and a friend or two and join your friends, neighbors and family for an evening of good ole traditional country music, bluegrass and gospel music.
L & L Country with Zach Hodge will be on stage every week, weather permitting.
Mexico High School Class of 1959
RUMFORD — The Mexico High School Class of 1959 is invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Gatch’s restaurant.
Spouses and significant others are welcome.
Science Guy at Rumford Library
RUMFORD — The Fizz! Boom! Read! Summer reading program will kick off when Mr. I the Science Guy, Bitsy Ionta, visits the Rumford Public library at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the library’s public room.
He brings an awesome display of scientific demonstrations, several of which will be hands-on. Ionta is a former science teacher, who can frequently be found volunteering in the local schools, sharing his interest in all things science.
All programs are free of charge and open to all area children and their friends. Parents and other care givers are welcome to attend and are encouraged to accompany younger children.
