Greater Androscoggin Humane Society operations manager Zachary Black and animal care technician Kara Strout treat the more than 40 cats they received from a Washington County hoarding situation for eye and upper respiratory infections Monday afternoon in Lewiston. “The healthier ones will be turned around quickly,” Black said. “We’re shooting for this weekend.” The house where the cats were removed had more than 80 felines when authorities intervened, according to Donna Kincer, GAHS development director.
