All Mainers have a stake in the November election, but no group has such a considerable stake as Maine’s young people.

Young Mainers deserve a state that is competitive in offering economic opportunities that will allow its talented young people to remain in Maine and enjoy the quality of life that distinguishes Maine as a place apart, a place like no other.

Gov. Paul LePage’s erratic behavior and unruly demeanor has polarized state politics and fostered a volatile political landscape that is in stark contrast to Maine’s longstanding commitment to pragmatic bi-partisan problem solving.

Maine’s chief executive should present to the world the very best of Maine and all it has to offer, rather than providing fodder for late night comedians and garnering national attention for brass, unsavory, and embarrassing remarks.

Maine needs and, more importantly, Maine deserves Mike Michaud as the next governor.
