WILTON — The circus is coming to Wilton.
The Wilton Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor two showings, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at Kineowatha Park, Recreation Director Frank Donald said.
The show will feature acrobats, aerialists, comedy and lots of animals, according to a release from Walker International Events. Each show will last an hour and a half.
It’s about a month away, but a pre-sale of discounted adult tickets has already started, Donald said. Two children’s tickets, for ages 14 and younger, are free with the sale of an adult ticket, he said.
The pre-event price is $12 for adults. Tickets are $15 on the day of the show, but tickets sold at the door benefit just the circus, he said of an effort to sell them in advance. The department earns a portion of the pre-sale tickets.
The circus is a fundraiser for the department’s recreational programs, he said.
Tickets are now available through the Parks and Recreation Department at 645-4825 or at the Wilton Town Office.
