AUGUSTA — Maine officials and businesses have arrived in the United Kingdom to continue their North Atlantic trade mission.

The group is shifting its focus to London on Thursday after spending several days in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Republican Gov. Paul LePage, who returned to Maine on Wednesday, participated in the Iceland portion of the trip. He met with President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson and the Icelandic Minister of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday and toured businesses.

The Maine International Trade Center planned the trip for more than 40 people, including members of the state’s seafood and paper industries and academic institutions.

The group that continued on to London is scheduled to participate in business matchmaking events and a State of Maine networking reception. It returns to Maine on Saturday.
