Historical Society auction canceled

FARMINGTON — Due to unforeseen circumstances the Farmington Historical Society Auction scheduled for June 12 at the North Church has been cancelled. The next auction is scheduled for July 10.

Potluck dinner is June 13

NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church will host a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, June 13.

Bring a dish to share or something to put on the outside grill. More importantly, join us for a fun time of fellowship and a barbecue meal. All are welcome.

Yard sale at Old South First church

FARMINGTON — A two-day yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21, at the Old South First Congregational Church Holman Parish House, 227 Main St.

Most items can be purchased by donation. Funds raised will help support the church’s community service, outreach and youth programs. Yard sale items will include kids stuff, housewares and cookware, books, CDs and DVDs, holiday decorations, home decor, gardening and tools, sporting goods, collectibles and more.

Anyone interested in making a donation to the yard sale can contact the church office at 778-0424. Not accepting clothing, footwear, TVs, computers, mattresses and bed pillows, or large household appliances.

Wilton Lions Club annual yard sale

WILTON — Wilton Lions Club will hold its annual yard sale Friday through Sunday, June 20- 22, at Routes 2 and 4 next to the Big Apple. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.

Rummage and take out sale

DIXFIELD — A rummage and take out sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Mystic Valley Grange No. 313, 932 U.S. Route 2 West and Route 17.

The baked bean supper (while supplies last) will include brown bread, rolls, coleslaw and baked goods. No lunch will be available.

LIVERMORE FALLS — American Legion Post 10 George Bunten will hold a public supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Post, 17 Reynolds Ave.

Cost for adults, $7; kids under 12, $4.

Menu includes homemade baked beans, red hot dogs, biscuits, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, assorted casseroles and vegetables, desserts and coffee.

Public supper at Masonic Hall

WILTON — A public Masonic supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. 
Saturday, June 21, at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Hall, 70 Bryant Road, to benefit the Building Fund.

The menu will be baked ham, mashed potatoes, veggies, dinner rolls, assorted homemade pies and beverages. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for those under 12.

WILTON — A book sale to benefit the Wilton Free Public Library will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Western Maine Enterprises, 128 Weld St.

There will be tons of good quality books of all sorts for readers of all ages and tastes: popular fiction, sheet music, songbooks, African-American history collection, gardening books, art books, lots on religion, videotapes, books on tape, etc. Pricing is “by donation.”
