LIVERMORE — Three properties acquired for 2012 outstanding taxes were awarded to the highest bidders last week, interim Administrative Assistant Renda Guild said.
Johnny Castonguay of Livermore was awarded a 3½-acre parcel on Turkey Lane for $8,200, she said. The lowest bid was $500.
A parcel on Federal Road went to Cea Jay Pitcher of Livermore for $1,000, Guild said.
The Bean Street land was awarded to Kenneth Constantine of Livermore for $1,000, she said.
In all, 15 bids were received on the parcels, Guild said.
Guild also updated selectpersons on the need for an additional person at the polls on June 10.
“There are some changes this election that will confuse some people,” she said.
The town was formerly in Maine House District 81 but with the redistricting the state did last year the town is divided into two districts, she said. Some residents will be voting for candidates in District 74 and the rest will be voting for candidates in District 75.
One person will hand out District 74 ballots and the other will give out District 75 ballots.
The change will cost the town $90.
