AUBURN — Biographer James Witherall will discuss the life of Ed Muskie through his two terms as Maine’s governor at 2 p.m. in the Auburn Public Library. 

LEWISTON — Human trafficking briefing, 1 p.m. Lewiston City Hall. State legislators, representatives from Kennebec, Somerset and Cumberland counties, Twin Cities and Portland police officials and others will discuss progress they’ve made toward combating human trafficking in Maine.

AUBURN — City Council workshop and regular meeting in the City Council Chamber in Auburn Hall. The workshop meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and topics include the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council, green homes and capital spending. The regular meeting begins at 7 p.m. and topics include zoning on Spring Street and in the city’s agriculture zone, the fiscal year 2014-15 budget, liquor licenses and an executive session to discuss a tax increment financing package.

LEWISTON — Finance Committee meeting beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the Administrative Conference Room downstairs in City Hall.

LEWISTON — Lewiston Historic Review Board, 4:30 p.m. downstairs in City Hall. Topics includes signs for Stephen’s Pizza, 133 Lisbon St., efforts to nominate the Wiseman Bridge for the National Register of Historic Places and efforts to repair the Kennedy Park Bandstand.
