Final Preschool Storytime
RUMFORD — The final Preschool Storytime for this school year will be held at the Rumford Public Library at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4. All area children ages 2-5 are welcome to join the fun. Storytime will resume in the fall.
Book signing at Mexico Library
MEXICO — Maine author Diane Taylor-Moore Hines has a recently published a fiction book, “Here Sits a Monkey.”
Diane will be doing a book signing at the Mexico Public Library, 134 Main St., from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4. There will be some copies of the book available for sale, or if you already have your own copy, bring it along for Diane to sign.

Farmington Farmers Market
FARMINGTON — The Saturday Farmington Farmers Market is in the State Courthouse parking lot on Main Street from May through October, from 9 a.m. until noon every Saturday.
Items include meats, baked goods, produce, eggs, soaps, pickles, jams, jellies and more. The Winter Market at the grange is now closed.
Thrifty Gift Shop yard sale
PARIS — A summer yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 6, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Thrifty Gift Shop, 659 Park St.
There will be summer clothes, toys, household items and more.
Proceeds will benefit the Families in Crisis Task Force.

Public breakfast at Kingfield church
KINGFIELD — A public breakfast will be held at the Kingfield United Methodist Church, 51 High St., from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7.
Menu will include pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage gravy with biscuit, homemade muffins, assorted juice, coffee and tea.
Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children, with a family rate of $15. All proceeds to benefit church programs.
Grange lunch at Society’s yard sale
RUMFORD — On Saturday, June 7, the Rumford Grange will serve lunch at the Grange Hall in Rumford Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is in conjunction with the Rumford Historical Society’s annual yard sale.
In addition to the lunch of hot dogs, sandwiches, chips and soda, there will be a petting zoo that will include sheep, lambs, baby goats, rabbits, chickens, a calf and a surprise.
A regular Grange meeting will follow immediately after 2 p.m.
Garage, food, plant sale June 7
SUMNER — A garage, food and plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Sumner Fire Station, Route 219.
There will be a door prize, quilt raffle and refreshments for sale.
Donations are appreciated.
The sale is hosted by the Fire Department Auxiliary.
