RUMFORD —  The American Legion Post 24 in Rumford will hold a smoking vote from noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21.

This vote is a requirement of the state of Maine, post commander Tricia Thurston said Saturday morning by email.

“It allows you as Legionnaires to have a say on whether the Post’s lounge is a smoking or nonsmoking lounge,” she said.
