“We the people” seems to have become “we the corporations.”
How did it happen that we are now governed by those few who use us and the Earth we all share for their monetary and political gain?
One hope I have is for “we the people” to demand that legislators in Augusta and Washington make clean elections the law of the land and thereby secure an ongoing debate that is a few hundred percent more inclusive than it is now.
Another, perhaps more powerful hope, is in us seeing that our own homes and neighborhoods are cared for in ways that foster joy, health, love and peace.
Easier said than done, but there is power in the doing.
