Gifford’s takes two

Gifford’s Ice Cream defeated Hardy Wolf and Downing 20-8 in ASLL Major Baseball. Cam Sturgis and Dominic Priola of Giffords had three hits and was joined by Ricky Cote, who had two hits and drove in four runs. In a five-run sixth inning, Connor Burtchell drove in a run with his first hit in the majors. Bobby Tremaine and George Romano both had two hits for Hardy Wolf and Downing, with Tremaine banging out a double.

Giffords then went to beat the pesky Auburn Firefighters team 11-1. Austin Brown and Luke Josephson combined on a two-hitter to give room for the Gifford’s bats to come alive. Ricky Cote hit a triple and socked a two-run home run to straight away center. Anson Perry and Marius Morneau had the two hits for the Firefighters.
