Mechanics Savings Bank for the second consecutive year recently gave the Maine Music Society a $1,000 donation to sponsor its youth/student concert ticket program, which subsidizes free tickets to all concert events for children 12 and under and half-priced tickets to all full-time students. The society’s next concert is “Blowin’ in the Wind,” held at the Franco Center in Lewiston, Saturday, May 17, at which the Androscoggin Chorale will perform arrangements of songs composed by Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Bob Dylan and Simon and Garfunkel. At the donation ceremony were, from left: Mechanics Savings Bank Charitable Contributions Committee Chairwoman Lisa Hallee, Maine Music Society Artistic Director John Corrie, Nancy Richard of Mechanics Savings Bank, society board President David Blocher and Linette Dehetre of Mechanics Savings Bank.
