Ageless Mike Rowe took the lead from Scott Mulkern on a lap 101 restart Saturday and forged ahead to victory in the Pro All Stars Series Southern Maine Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough.
Rowe, 63, of Turner, has won well over 200 races and countless championships, carrying the checkered flag in six different decades. He won his second NASCAR Pro Series track championship at Beech Ridge in 2013.
Travis Benjamin of Morrill, the reigning Oxford 250 winner and also winner of the recent PASS season-opener at OPS, finished second, followed by Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault.
D.J. Shaw finished fourth and Mulkern fifth in the 29-car field.
Other local competitors were Cassius Clark of Farmington in ninth, Dave Farrington Jr. of Jay 13th, Glen Luce of Turner 18th, Travis Stearns of Auburn 20th, Ben Rowe of Turner 24th and Adam Polvinen of Hebron 27th.
Reid Lanpher, Mike Rowe and Mulkern were heat race winners.
In supporting feature action, Dan McKeage topped the PASS Sportsman event, Mark Lundblad won the PASS Modified encounter, and Matt Bourgoine led the NELCAR Legends.
Busy night at Wiscasset
Jeff Prindall of Lisbon, Ryan Glover of Mexico and Corey Morgan of Lewiston were among the eight feature winners Saturday night at Wiscasset Raceway.
Prindall was first in the four-cylinder pro stock event, while Glover paced the Outlaw Minis and Morgan ruled the Strictly Streets.
Nick Hinkley of Wiscasset swept the Pro Stock and Late Model features.
Adam Chadbourne (Super Street), Ryan Chadwick (Thunder 4s) and Kris Knox (Trucks) also went to victory lane.
