Auburn police officer Katie Avery and Cpl. Eric Bell close up another box of expired or unused medications to add to their growing pile at Bedard’s Pharmacy on Minot Avenue in Auburn on Saturday. “This is to help prevent people from abusing prescription drugs and it also prevents it from entering our water and soil,” said Dan Morin of Healthy Androscoggin. The over-the-counter and prescription medications that were collected will be taken to Massachusetts and incinerated.
