CAMDEN (AP) — A New Mexico-based business says it plans to invest more than $3 million and create 29 new jobs in the Maine town of Camden.

Sierra Peaks Corporation said it plans to invest in two facilities in the coastal town. It predicts the move will create 29 jobs in the manufacture of miniature acoustic microphones and other communications devices.

Gov. Paul LePage said Maine will work “hand in glove with them” to help the corporation thrive.

Sierra Peaks said it has been a leader for 50 years in developing electronics for the government as well as industries including aerospace, automation and biometrics.
