PORTLAND (AP) — Averages gas prices in Maine are up nearly 4 cents a gallon from a week ago and analysts say the trend is expected to continue into next month.
The average price of a gallon of gas in Maine Monday is $3.69 a gallon — up nearly 8 cents from one month ago, according to gasbuddy.com.
The average price for a gallon of gas nationally is $3.62 a gallon — an increase of just over 2 cents from last week.
Gas prices in Maine are 15 cents a gallon higher than they were one year ago.
Analysts predict gas prices will continue to climb for several weeks before tapering off next month.
