FARMINGTON — Master beekeeper and president of the Maine Beekeepers Association, Carol Cottrill will share her passion and knowledge for bees and beekeeping at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Farmington Grange on Bridge Street in West Farmington.
Cottrill raises bees at Fox Run Farm in Rumford where she makes honey and bees wax products from her hives. She is associated with the Western Maine Beekeepers Association which serves beekeepers in Oxford and Franklin County through its mentoring program and beekeepers workshops.
Whether you are thinking about raising bees, have just started, are a veteran or are just curious about the state of bees these days, this is a talk you won’t want to miss.
One of a series of occasional lectures on the rural arts and trades hosted by the Farmington Grange No. 12, the lecture is free and open to the public. Bring your curiosity, experiences and questions. Donations appreciated; refreshments served. Consider becoming a member of this active Grange.
