PARIS — Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services, serving Oxford County and the towns of Bridgton and Harrison, is energized to hold their second annual Teal Ribbon Run 5K on Saturday, April 19.

This event will take place on a 5K trail starting at the SAPARS office, at 1 East Main St. (same building as Ocean Breeze Tanning Salon) and looping through South Paris.

Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services works to prevent and eliminate sexual violence and promote healing and empowerment for people of all genders and ages who are affected by rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, stalking and sexual harassment.

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness month, the 5K will be held as not only a fundraiser for SAPARS, but as a way of linking the community into physical activity. The 5K event will bring awareness to sexual violence and the services that are offered for all affected by sexual assault.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the 5K kicking off at 10. Registration will be $20. For participants 12 years old and younger, registration is waived. All ages will be invited to participate with prizes given at the end of the event for a variety of categories. Water will be served along the course with snacks and prizes be given at the end.

For more information, contact Lauren Dembski at 743-9777, ext. 5. Registration forms are available at the SAPARS office.
