April 16 program on Alzheimer’s Disease

RUMFORD — Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice will present “End of Life Care for Those With Alzheimer’s Disease” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 16.

Instructors Diane Pinard and Victoria Scattaloni have years of experience providing palliative and hospice care to those living with Alzheimer’s Disease.

The one hour in-service will be presented at the Rumford Community Home, 11 J. F. Kennedy Lane. All are welcome.

Rumford Historical Society meeting

RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the auditorium of the Rumford Town Hall. Entrance and exit to the building is on River Street at the Rumford Police Department, and all attendees are asked to use only that entrance.

The speaker for the evening is Melinda Worthley, a licensed social worker for Rumford Hospital. Her topic will be, “The History of the Rumford Community Hospital and the Impact of the Obama Care System on the Hospital.”

A short business meeting will precede the presentation and light refreshments will be served afterwards.

The meeting is open to the public, and new members to the organization are always welcomed.
