LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Republican Committee will host a public meet and greet with candidates at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Town Office, 2400 Hallowell Road.

Candidates scheduled to attend are Bruce Poliquin, Sen. Garrett Mason, Randall Greenwood and Timothy McDonald.

Poliquin, a businessman and former state treasurer under Gov. Paul LePage, is a candidate for the 2nd Congressional District.

Mason, R-Lisbon Falls, is serving his second term as a state senator and served as Senate chairman of the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee during the 125th Legislature, where he was a conservative advocate of school choice and charter schools.

A Realtor, Mason worked in sports management with the Portland Sea Dogs and was the public relations director and later the director of administration for the former Lewiston Maineiacs.

He represents District 17, which will change to District 22 under recent reapportionment.

Greenwood and McDonald are both seeking election to House District 82.

Greenwood, of Wales, is a businessman and chairman of the Androscoggin County Commission.

McDonald, who lives in Monmouth, is a selectman and president of the Western Kennebec Economic Development Alliance. He serves on the KVCOG Board of Directors and is a member of the Monmouth Economic Development Committee. He owns TMAC Computers.
