LISBON — The Methodist Women will host a presentation about the CMMC Arbor House by Jeri Maurer at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the United Methodist Church, 14 School St.

LEWISTON/AUBURN — Local veteran activities include the following:

Thursday, April 3, L & A Veterans Council will meet at 6 p.m. at the armory.

Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, Franco Vets will hold rose sales.

Sunday, April 6, American Legion Post 135 will hold a breakfast at 7:30 p.m. at the Sabattus post.

Tuesday, April 8, Franco Vets will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the armory.

Wednesday, April 9, Amvets will meet  at 7 p.m. in New Gloucester.

Thursday, April 10, La Rencontre will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Franco Center.

Saturday, April 12, Bert’s trip to Canada will leave at 7 a.m.

Thursday, April 17, American Legion Post 22 will meet at 6 p.m. at the armory.

Monday, April 21, VFW Post 9150 will meet at 6 p.m. at the armory.

Benefit dinner for Labbe family

MINOT — A benefit dinner for Blackie and Jackie Labbe, owners of Blackie’s Farm Stand, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Minot Consolidated School, 23 Shaw Hill Road.

Cost is $7 adults, $5 children.

The Friends of the Farm are sponsoring a benefit bean supper and silent auction.

The Labbes have always been generous to our communities. They lost their home on Christmas Day 2013 due to a house fire.

Book sale, boutique, breakfast

WAYNE — A book sale, boutique and breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5, at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road.

First Saturday at the Williams House offers shopping at the ongoing book sale and boutique, where new donations arrive every week. Stay long enough for a visit with neighbors and a cup of coffee or tea.

This month there will be quiche and cinnamon buns available. All proceeds benefit the Cary Memorial Library.
