Bridget Meedzan added three goals for the Bobcats (7-3, 3-2 NESCAC), Wally Pierce added two goals and two assists, while Moriah Greenstein chipped in with a goal and three assists.
Cara Cappellini also added a goal and an assist on offense.
After allowing four consecutive goals in first half to fall behind 4-2, the Bobcats roared to life, finishing the half on a 3-0 run.
The teams traded goals early in the second half before Bates pulled away with five in a row to finish the game.
Katie D’Antonio was Hamilton’s top scorer with two goals on five shots. Bates keeper Hannah Jeffrey stopped 14 shots to earn her sixth win of the season.
Men’s lacrosse
CLINTON, N.Y. — Jack Strain poured in five goals as Bates found its way into the win column in conference play for the first time with an 11-4 win over Hamilton on Saturday.
Kyle Webber had a pair for the Bobcats (4-4, 1-4), while Jack Allard had a goal and four helpers.
Softball
HARTFORD, Conn. — Trinity College erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take control of the second game of a double header with Bates College on Saturday, following a 3-0 win in Game 1 of a doubleheader with a 13-5 triumph in Game 2.
Elizabeth McQuaid led Trinity with a five hits over the two games.
In the first game, Bates pitcher Kelsey Freedman held the Trinity offense to only seven hits and three runs, but that was enough as Trinity pitcher Hannah King allowed only three hits and no runs.
In the second game, Bates was within one at 6-5 after the sixth inning before Trinity plated seven in the bottom half to end it.
Baseball
MEDFORD, Mass. — In a pitching duel, Tufts University’s Kyle Slinger outlasted Bates College tandem Brad Reynolds and Bob Difranco as the Jumbos registered a 2-0 win over the Bobcats on Saturday.
Mekae Hyde of Lewiston managed one of the three hits against Slinger on the afternoon.
The Jumbos also rapped only three hits against Bates, but those came in succession in the first inning, and they were all Tufts needed.
