A gentleman from Fielding’s Oil and Propane Company and a tow truck driver from Greeley’s Garage try to determine if the tanker carrying 300 gallons of heating oil had been compromised when it was rear ended by an Auburn Concrete truck hauling 10 yards of cement at mile 79 northbound on the Maine Turnpike Thursday afternoon. The concern was the possibility of an oil spill so near the Androscoggin River when trying to separate the vehicles. All northbound traffic on the Turnpike was closed between Auburn and Lewiston, backing up traffic all over the twin cities.

The concern was the possibility of an oil spill near the Androscoggin River. All northbound lanes were closed between Auburn and Lewiston, backing up traffic all over the Twin Cities.
