FARMINGTON – The 20th annual Franklin County Chamber of Commerce’s Home & Leisure Show was a resounding success this past Saturday, March 15, noted 2014 Chamber President Mike Blanchet.
“Successfully having it in the same location for two consecutive years has shown us that we have found our home,” Blanchet said, referring to the Mt. Blue campus.
The Chamber estimates that some 750 people attended the show, not counting children who came in with family groups.
This year, the show featured 51 booths, up from around 40 in 2013.
“We got a lot of positive feedback from the vendors and exceeded our budgeted financial goals,” Blanchet said. “Everybody has been commenting on how smoothly things went,” he added.
Costs were contained by Chamber members and friends doing the set up and dismantling of the show.
The date of the next show has already been set – March 21, 2015 – and will feature more entertainment and demonstrations, Blanchet said.
The Franklin Journal held a drawing at the show for a one-year print and web subscription, which went to Richard Savage of Phillips.
