Madeline Brown, 95, Buckfield’s oldest resident, holds the town’s gold-headed Boston Post Cane and a certificate of recognition Saturday. The award was made at a reception at her home. The 1937 graduate of Conley Institute in Cumberland Center has three children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
