AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine will celebrate its Franco-American heritage with French music and food at the Statehouse this week.
The 13th annual Franco-American Day is Wednesday.
The celebration will feature the induction of members into the Franco-American Hall of Fame and visits of dignitaries from France and Canada. Franco-American organizations will be on display throughout the Statehouse’s Hall of Flags.
Franco-American food will be on the menu at Cross Cafe and French music will be playing in the halls.
The festivities are scheduled during International Francophone Week.
