1956 – 2014

AUBURN — Kenneth E. Nelson, 57, of Lewiston, died Tuesday, March 11, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 24, 1956, a son of Ralph and Pauline (White) Nelson Jr. He was educated in local schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Ken was employed at Wal-Mart Distribution and prior to that, at BIOSafe and Morrissey Environmental.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, puttering in the yard, doing landscaping and working in his garden with his granddaughter, Christina. Ken loved spending time with family during holidays and gatherings, where baking contests, football games and many great times were shared.

Ken leaves his father, Ralph Nelson Jr., of Lewiston; his three children, Nash Nelson and his fiancé, Stephanie Maheux, of Lewiston, Erik Nelson and his companion, Jessica Lapointe, of Lewiston, and Chandell Nelson of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Christina, Maxwell, Terrell and Kiera; two sisters, Shirley Grady of Lewiston and Donna Goulet and husband, Donald, of Lewiston; three brothers, Donald Nelson and wife, Mary, of Farmington, Richard Nelson and wife, Linda, of Lewiston, and Randall Nelson and wife, Kelly, of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Pauline; and two brothers, John and Thomas Emerson.

Ken will be greatly missed by all.
